Ice Factory Memories

Some pictures passed on to us by proud family and former employees of the Grimsby Ice Company.

Simon Hudson contacted us with a photo of his father, Vic Hudson at Grimsby Ice Factory. Says Simon, "I got used to the factory as a young lad and will never forget the strong smell of ammonia as soon as you walked in the building. Simon describes the Ice Factory as, "an amazing experience with many different large rooms. I remember a spiral staircase at one point and strange junctions between buildings which had probably been joined together. My dad  used to say how well the compressors were made; and as you can see, they're pretty big."
